Common questions
Will I need a new electrical panel?
Not usually. A heat pump needs its own 240 V circuit. A panel upgrade comes up when the panel is full or an all-electric design adds heat strips.
Is a mini-split a heat pump?
Almost always. Most mini-splits heat and cool. Check the model number for the rare cooling-only unit.
